Distributor Question

Hello,
    I just purchased a TPI system from an 86 camaro(MAF).  I have a 70
camaro and its is already pretty built up with a comp 292 cam, headwork,
headers, 10:1 pistons...  I have an MSD billet distributor on there with the
6AL multispark box.  What I would like to know is if I can use this
distributor with the TPI system?  I would rather not buy another distributor
unless there are significant gains in doing so such as hardship using the
one I have with the new TPI setup or just performance gains with an HEI.

Any information would be greatly appreciated
