I have checked the bypass line :(
I have not, however, had much time to work on it for the last few weeks.  
Somebody hit my car in an accident (minor) and I've been working on that 
lately. 
 So I haven't given up yet.  And I have a memcal with a ZIF socket on it now, 
so when I get some time, I'll be ready!
