Apparently OK. Agreed that it is only occasional, but there is sometimes a
petroleum scum in a lot of bilges.

Mfgrs. say the pumps are "OK to pump fuel, but don't make a habit of it."
Hmmm. I think their comment is mostly, if not entirely a liability
issue--either fuel dissolves pump parts--or it doesn't.
