You seem to be correct, the symptoms in the 200-4R they said were on
deceleration
where it would feel like a manual car bucking in too low of gear.  No mention
of lockup when putting in gear.  It may be a waste of time to change the
solenoid.

Still may be an engine problem.  The trans shop should be able to tell you if
there
is a problem if they're honest.

Sleepy has a good point - all those little bits and lumpy pieces.
