I thought you meant that it was OK with the aujp, and the problrm was when 
switching calibrations?.

Might try using jumpers with two batteries to get 400 min rpm cranking.
Sherely vette has a good battery <g>.
If  someone has illustrated parts book might look to see is both use same 
taper IAC pintle.  And compare IAC counts at sart
