There are many ways to skin this issue... and I can elaborate how we did
this successfully with a 3 injector per cyl setup utilizing a Buick V6,
sheet metal intake, a Haltech then eventually  TEC II set.

Based on boost... you have three "ranges".

Low range 0-8lbs of boost - stock injectors only (gas)
Mid range 8-15lbs of boost - stock (gas) + secondary injectors (racing
gas)
High range 15+lbs of boost - stock (gas) + secondary (race gas) + third
stage (alky/distilled water)

Using op-amps to monitor the pressure (3 bar MAP), which then in turn
feed an AND gate so the second/third stages fire only when its sister
stock (primary) injectors fire as well as being over the pressure
threshold, you end up with a system that works fairly well.

The ease of the haltech and tec II system is that its map based... and
you can map your data in the ECM appropriately, much easier than the OEM
stuff, but its doable.
