Fred: 
You can't just reconnect the injectors/ignition wires to go from odd to even 
fire.  The difference is the crank has shared journeals vs split pin ones.
So you have to trade cranks.  Then there is a major head design change that 
accurrded during the odd fire years.  
  So depending on his heads, the intake may not work.
  None of the electronics will fire anything other than once ever 6th ign 
pulse right.
