8:1 and a stock cam, don't really expect much,

I think 305 are 19, and 350 23.

Advancing timing will help it feel good, to srive, but nit add much power, 
compared to having a 9.5: motor.

Get some 1.6:1 stamped steel rockers, that'll help some.
