This is really a surprise. I know of the engine you speak, just never
knew there were variations on the theme. Without being there, I'd be
wary of offering suggestions. I've never seen a manual trans FWD with
rear mounted starter.
Maybe you could mount a big pulley on the front of the crank, and wrap
a rope around it.... ; )
Sorry, but it sounds like you need another engine, or a 2.0 Sunbird
manual trans. Frederick B had a 3.8 Buick for sale... Any other
solutions are pay as you go.
