Spark Bias??

Quick question, what exactly do the warm (loc 0x14) and cold (loc 0x15)
spark bias values do??  The 7747 bin I am working on has the cold value
at 20 degrees and the warm value at 10 degrees... Is there a simple way
to explain what these things do.  I betcha Bruce would know....
