Make sure you get the proper water pump... (Serpentine belt runs the water
pump backwards from the normal V belt design!).
Had a friend who went to the serpentine belt config for his El Camino SS...
 Kept overheating and he couldn't drive it for more than about a mile
without it blowing coolant.  Finally found out he was using his 71 style
water pump with the rest of the 80's era stuff including the serpentine
belt etc... realized what was wrong while standing in front of the car and
revving the engine... air was coming out the front grille because the fan
was also pitched to run for a V belt, not a serpentine.  Replaced the water
pump/fan and fan clutch and all was well!
