ALDL Interfaces

In the early ECMs (C3) the mode was selected by a resistance value placed
between pin A and pin B: 
Normal mode     (R>=20K ohm)  
ALDL mode       (R==10K ohm) 
Backup mode     (R==3.9 K ohm)  
Field Service   (R<=500 ohm)  

In ALDL a constant 1,000 rpm idle will be commanded
Backup mode means just that
Field Service should never be entered unless you know exactly what you are
doing.
