Not with the current design, because the spring pressure keeps the injector
closed with the high pressure behind it.  If the valves were inverted, whereas
the pressure pushes them closed, and the injector coil pushes the valve upwards
into the incoming fuel, then a spring would not be needed, unless one was
concerned about having a fail-safe should the fuel pressure lower significantly.
