For the newbies, and if you missed it, this works perfectly for street type 
applications:
Drill a 1/16" thru the themostat.
Locate sender as close as possible to thermostat.  Perferably in AL (ie   
intake manifold).
Plug P/S bypass hole, behind water pump, with 1/8" Pipe Plug, and then drill
  a 1/8" hole thru it.
This prevents air from accumulating under the thermostat (espec in cold   
weather)
Being in AL quickens the response to temp change (efi related info.).
If you want all crazy might try running heater water on full time.  But, be 
sure all ducting closes, any leaks, and the interior if too hot in warm weather.
  The "trick is" a stable CT or then the CT corrections come into play....
