Yes.

A temporary list server would work for me.
I haven't used news groups for years.  I would
rather just have posts appear with my regular
e-mail, and would not want to supply a password
to reply.  Also, would there be software that
runs on unix for that?  I may as well just go read
the archives if you do that, if there is an archive.
And that, or news groups, are not as immediate or
engaging, so I would not be compelled to contribute.
