Hi All,

I was just reading an article in RaceTech - www.racetechmag.com , on the
Visteon Vehicle Control System for the FORD F1 cars. O.K it's certainly not
GM but it is an impressive beast.

Here's some figures -

12 x Microprocessors (Motorola 509 Power PC)
1 x 32bit DSP (100Mips)
70Mb of Memory (RAM & EEPROM)
12channel 12bit,1.5MHz data logger
12channel 16bit,100KHz data logger
20 x Low Impedence Inj Drivers
2 wire serial comms between sensors (Upto 120)
246 pin connector

I wonder what Delphi has as the competitor to this.

They also talk about a non-contacting Torque Sensor, which was used by John
Force to measure the Torque out of his Funny Car (I'd love to know the
results).
