Yes.  I did this with a Haltach system to provide drivers for additional
stages of injectors.

I would recommend using MOSFET devices, only because they switch faster
thus at higher RPMs where the pulsewidth is smaller you can get a nice
square wave from the MOSFET rather than a slight ramp-up.  Hey, every
little bit helps :)
