I had problems at first reading/verifying my eprom.  Read ok, verify failed.
Finally, I found that you need to pay close attention to the instructions
and not insert the chip until everything is powered up and the program
running.  Never used eprom.exe, just fileprom.exe on an old IBM 486SX laptop.
At least I didn't ruin my chip by not following the directions.  It's just
such a convenient place to store your chip ;^)  I don't remember if the
power supply is 12V.  If not I will have to make some sort of adapter
to use the emulator with the programmer in the car.  I wonder if the emulator
would work plugged into a socket of a chip switcher setup, or if the signal
would be too weak.  That way you wouldn't have to get at the computer every
time you tweaked.
