This is kinda tangentially GMECM related, but with all the discussion
today...

Just got back from the track. My friend's T-type ran 11.97 at 116.8 on pump
gas and Nitto drag radials. The car should soon better its' previous best
of 11.37 at 119.5 with some gas and slicks.  This car is nicknamed "Gramma";
it's a plain white T-type with AC, bench seat, quiet exhaust, etc.

A 63ish Impala was there; car has a BBC with 8-71 street blower, DFI, 16
staged injectors. Car is tubbed but has AC and is street driven. It ran
10.32 at 131. It must weigh 4000 pounds. There's an honest 800 hp, at least.

Another two cars worth mentioning: 99 LS1 Camaro, stock motor, bolt-ons,
150 shot of nitrous: 11.09 at 123. And, late 80s Mustang, mild 302, single
turbo Cartech kit with TS04 turbo, 11.23 at 119. Both of these cars are street
driven regularly here in town.
