Ken & Rae Bauman asked about COP ignition coils:

>Did/does Ford offer a coil per cylinder setup similar to the GM >vette?

>I'm looking for a small light coil with a spark plug style tower >instead

>That style of coil tower seems common on Ford. Any other >possibilities?

There it is, that (fun!) dangerous word, "any"!
Yes, COP (Coil On Plug) ignition is used on several motorcycles (Honda
CBR900RR, Kawasaki ZX-11 might be two). I know not the terminal
arrangement; ask the mechanic, or look in the book. On the generic side,
the Corvette uses a remote-mounted COP ignition with separate spark plug
wires; guys on the list know the details.
