VSS

Hi all... I have just added a VSS from a holden commodore and since it has 
subed in the original speedo cable drive, i have also added the commodore 
dash... it all runs fine, except it reads a bit optimistic... ( which i plan 
to fix with speedo gear drives) and that the odometer only works in 
reverse??? from what i can tell the VSS gives out a binary output... ie 
signal.. no signal... and shouldn't matter which way it is spun... any 
suggestions??? and fixes?? i have thought about making a small gearbox to 
drive it the other direction... or maybe adding an inverter circuit into the 
ouput line??
