Maybe a stretch for GMECM, but I found out about a new product from Electromotive that allows you
to use the LS1 coils with a crank trigger of your choice w/ECM timing.  It comes with a little
harness and a box that is about 2x3x1 inches and it accepts ECM timing controls.  I do not know if
it allows for individual cylinder timings, but I know that for my aujp it won't :)

I saw this on a 454 engine at the PRI show at Indy this weekend.  The interesting part was that
the valve covers and coils were 454 factory parts....
