my very small contribution to the list.....

I was trying to make an adapter so that I can program chips while they are
still soldered in the memcal, and I couldn't find anything at the local
Radio Shack..... then I realized I work for the leading passive
component/connector distributor in the nation and I should be able to get
some samples of connectors somewhere! Anyway, I found these:

They are 3M 2530-6005 connectors. They have 30 pins, and I just bend 'em out
like this:

Since they have 30 pins and the '165 memcal's I'm programming have 28 for
the eprom, I just break off two of the pins and bend the rest out. It works
great. I know I've seen many others on the list do similar things, that's
where I got the idea. I just couldn't find anything at stores nearby.

So, where my contribution to the list comes in...... I sampled 10 of these
from 3M. I only have 3 spoken for. I would like to give the other 7 away to
list members, first come, first served. I will ship them free. Just email me
your address and I'll send one to you. Our list price for these are about $4
each when buying one at a time, and drops to about $2 if you buy more than
200 pieces. I have no idea how much something like this would cost in a
retail store. These might be pricey units for us because they are 3M.
Anyway, let me know if you need one of these.

Thanks to the list for all the help I received and knowledge I've gained
over the last year that I've been around.
