Airflow increases are minimal on stock castings at .500"
lift and above.

Spring pockets are not large enough for most performance
springs.  Some careful searching can turn up locating shims
for the spring seats.  Spring seat depth will probably need
machining.

Valve guide/spring retainer interference must be checked for
clearance at .500" valve lift and above to prevent seal
failure.  

Pushrod holes in the head may need machining if planning to
run 1.6 ratio or greater rockers.
And of course, there are the usual intake manifold issues. :
)
