I'd like to add, total deck clearance @ .040 is safe, so pistons don't
get into the heads,
if the engine gets away from tire spin .etc. Better than sweeping rod
bearings off bottom
of pan ! In any case production rod bolts should be replaced with
aftermarket Hi Strength
for added insurance. Installation of new rod bolts requires rod BE
resize to negate TIR.
