you could try a peice of heater hose slice it down the middle and hose clamp 
it to the knock sensor, GM had a calibration problem on one of the late modle 
grand am's and I believe that to be the fix before they came out with a new 
calibration. I was a problem of too much sensitivity, different thickness 
hose and width/ hose clamp tightness will affect this..... maybe this will 
help!
