What model ECM is this ?

Decision time in my book, then.  How much time do you want to put into
this?.
Might be way easier to go with a known ecm.
If you/others have the time (and I mean lots of it) then you might get it
all done.   I for one can't even read the code, and been working at just
getting to that stage for a long time.
  Might consider redoing harness for interior mounting of ecm, and use a
common easy to find one, or even a under hood oem one.  Both the 1227730,
and 1227727 (underhood) are already hac'd and available.  With some
relatively cheap software you'd be up and running.  Thou you can't run any
diagnostic stuff on it (on your existing one).   Maybe  gettting a Duty
Cycle from just the injectors would help.  Then you should be rather easy
able to find the timing table in what you do have.  With the timing, and
some idea of fuel, you can get there from here.  Thou will be work.
   How much cam does this thing have?.
