7170.ecu help

I am working on developing a .ecu file for the 7170 ECM, and cannot get
the checksum correct, can anyone see my problem?

Here is the first table from my .ecu file:

ecu_id	   =GM_C3_ECM,
filesize (hex)   =1000,
checksum addr    =0,
checksumsize     =2,
checksumstart    =8,
checksumend      =7fff,
# of tables      =1,,

After this I have some prelim spark table stuff, but I can't get promedit
to get past the checksum.

The .bin size is 4096 bytes.
