thats not ture, the module is just like any other, the only thing is that the 
module is used as a buffer/ amp for the cam sensor, the pickups go through 
the module just like most, the n star dis does have its own fixed timming 
mode. there is a est line and all. it kinda wires up like an hei with spark 
control with a couple of delux features. for one the amount of refrence 
signals going to the pcm. now the 2000 year cars u are correct, the signals 
go straight to the pcm. I get  info on the new and old, the changes are 
remarkable.
