V-Maf Differences for Part #s

I have seen a 85 MAF put onto an 89 '165 TPI system with no apparent ill
effects and was wondering just what the differences might be. the 89 may be
higher quality components or a more enhanced range or something? I know the
85 '870 used no burn off relay but when the 85 MAF is put on an 89 system
the burn off functions correctly and has not harmed it. It led me to ask
just what exactly are the changes between the early V-MAFS and the later
ones. a curiosity thing - also it would be nice to know that if I see a MAF
on an 85 '870 car I can snag it from a yard or parts car.

anyone else? anyone ever made a voltage-to-G/S graph from flow data for ANY
MAF?
