730 speed sensor

I am trying to find out how many pulses/rev the 730 ecm requires and if it
is a magnetic sensor or a hall effect type ?
The truck has been converted when it came into Australia but no one bothered
to fit a VSS adapter so TCC doesn't work and the idles not real good on
deceleration.
I can get a 8 pulse magnetic inline VSS but wasn't sure what the 730
requires
