Driving an HEI Module with other signals

You are right on the money about the step advance built into the 7 wire
modules . I have observed this on my distributor machine using a timing
light on the degree wheel. Non stock modules have different step advance
points and amount of advance. I have tested the small cap HEI modules
(external coil) and they have similar step advance in by-pass mode.
