Ecm role expanding?

You end up doing doughnuts in the high school parking lot in your 55
Chebby pickup while 2 baseball teams stare in stunned amazement.

Then you disappear under the dash to try and beat on the pedal to make
the cable snap back.

And then you finally realize there's a key to shut this ride off, and
get out and under the hood to get the cable free before the cops come.

And if it happens to you on a Sunday afternoon right around the time
when you've just gotten your driver's license, you disappear as
quickly as possible leaving only the tire marks and your hurt pride
(and 20+ stunned ballplayers) to prove that anything has happened.

And years later, whenever someone mentions sticking throttle cables,
you relive the fear and confusion you knew that day as that little 283
started winding up to the moon, and the horizon began to spin away to
your left, faster and faster-

Uhh what was the question again?
