Reading Plugs

semi related to this thread...

What is the *best* procedure for getting the proper plug readings at a
particular throttle position?
Do you run the vehicle on a light load? heavy load? Are you supposed to
just kill the motor in the middle of a "run" and coast to stop? Is it ok to
idle to a stop and shut the motor off? How long should you operate in your
target range before the plug color becomes accurate? Any concerns with
overheating after a WOT run?

I've seen a few sites like Tim pointed out that had pictures of sample plugs
but not the correct way to actually tune an engine by reading plugs across
the entire operating range. Is there a FAQ somewhere on how to obtain
repeatable, consistent results?

TIA,
-Tim-
