LT-1 Heads

-> Remember 1992, when Chevy raved about the Gen II's reverse-flow
-> cooling?

 Chevy "invented" reverse-flow cooling for the LT-1. Then they got tied
up in a lawsuit with Evans over whether it violated Evans' patents on
the idea.

 Too bad the patents were invalid. Reverse flow was prior art. Not
just prior art, but *General Motors* prior art. As in the 1955 Pontiac
V8, which wasn't just reverse flow, but a helluva lot cleaner, more
efficient, ad cheaper setup than the LT1.

 You can get .gifs of the patent filings from patents.ibm.com; they're
interesting mixtures of the obvious, plain old bullshit, and ozone
science.

 I scanned some pictures of the Pontiac reverse flow setup and put them
on my web page; look under the Pontiac header.

 Pontiac went from reverse to normal flow in '59 or '60, for some
mysterious reason.
