knock sensor installation

i am ready to install my tbi conversion on my early sbc. my question is
where/how is the best way the install the knock sensor? all my stuff came
off an 89 s15 jimmy. on this truck screwed into a hole on the bellhousing
flange. should i drill and tap a hole on my engine? i can do it, but hope
there's an easier way.
