I need some advice... Our suburban (2001) has developed a bad knock,
due to a bad tank of gas I think. I was going to run some GM top engine
cleaner thru it but if I open the ductwork before the throttle body the
engine dies. This engine is throttle by wire (!?) so pressing the gas
pedal is of no use trying to keep it going. Any suggestions on how to
keep it running long enough to pour a bottle of TEC? This stuff has to
go thru the throttle, you can't put it in the gas tank.
Take it to the dealer since it's under warranty you say? According to
the dealer this is normal, no fix required.
