VSS Signal conditioner

Is there a commercial or DIY VSS signal conditioner available? Something that
will convert the GM VSS signal to one that will work with aftermarket components
that take the tach signal for input? Like Autometer Gauges, EIC's and piggy
back computers.
The signal on my car is pulsed at 16 times a revolution, I think, and required
a special version of the SDS software to run the EIC. 
I'm just wondering,
