GM Fuel Pump control scheme

Not sure if it was mentioned, but the LUV truck & Vega ran the 
fuel pump whenever there was oil pressure OR when the starter 
was cranking.   Both cars had a carb, so any "momentary" lack 
of fuel pressure was not a big deal.
I had a 74 Vega GT that would blink the oil press light
whenever an abrupt right turn was made while a quart low..
It was like an "add a quart" gauge.
