If you want the cheapest way to go to a good working 3 wire o2 - go to your
cheapest parts dealer and ask for a 1990 5.0 mustang o2 sensor. Then go to
the junkyard and cut the o2 plug off of any 90's ford vehicle. At least in
the less desirable Bosch variety the sensor is exactly the same as the 3 wire
gm unit, but with the ford plug, it costs 15 bucks less. spend 10 on the
junkyard connector, 5 on a bosch style relay and 10 amp fuse. The two wires
with resistance between them go to 12v switched hot (i.e., run the relay off
the fuel pump line, and pick up hot for the heater thru the fuse). Now the
02 sensor is ready in like 6-10 sec instead of 5 minutes.

Thanks for listening to my electroyappin!
