Hi everyone, this is my first post. I really enjoy reading this
list.
The October 2000 issue of Circuit Cellar describes this OBD II protocol
converter. It is from ISO to RS232. The magazine article talks mostly
about the ISO protocol. The hardware design is in the magazine and the
microcontroller and PC software can be downloaded from the web site you
mentioned. Look at the bottom of the page for a link titled "Circuit Cellar
Readers...". It is ISO 9141-2 only.
Since the article was published the Ford and GM protocols have
appeared as options on the web site. If you built the converter from the
article I don't know if he would sell just software for the other protocols.
It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Later,
Mel

PS The Circuit Cellar article is what got me searching on the web for EFI
material. That is how I came to subscribe to this list.

Subject: anyone try this

Has anyone tried this Scan tool for the OBD II?

http://www.ghg.net/dharrison/obdscan.html

Or has anyone built a cable and found some software that works with it for
the OBD II GM's?

Thanks,
Todd
