 Just use an HEI from a 350 Buick V8.  Remove the vacuum advance, lock
the centrifugal, and install the correct HEI module for the 730.

 Much of the intake is double walled and water jacketed, just like the
TBI 350 intakes.  There is not enough metal to open up the carb pad to
take a TBI; I have photos to prove it.  However, it looks like a Ford
CFI throttle body would work.  The TPS and injectors are compatible with
the TBI, but you'd have to mount the IAC remotely, as the Ford TB has no
idle speed control provision.
