Yes the 89 TTA, and 86-87 GNs/Types all use the MAF and 1227148 ecms.
Yes, both use MAP sensors ***only*** for dash displays,
the GN a 2 bar
the TTA uses a 3 bar

I thought the T-TA was MAF like the GN.  A friend of mine just recently
informed me that the MAP is only for the Boost gauge in the GN, though &
does not figure into the operation of the engine. Does that apply with the
T-TA or..................

The 89 Turbo Trans Am used it for the boost display on the dash.
Using it would allow for better resolution in the calibration (would allow ~
28 PSI of boost vs resoltion ending at ~14).
