730 vs. 747

Hi,

I am working on my first GM ECM efi project. I am trying to fuel inject an
inline 4 cyl engine that was never available in fuel injection. So far I
have installed and checked out the heated O2 sensor, engine temp., crank,
VSS and MAP sensors. The intake manifold, throttle body, 18LB injectors,
idle valve and TPS are almost done.

I want to use PFI not TBI. I am trying to decide on the ECM to use. I
have mostly narrowed it down to either the '747 or the '730.

I don't think that the '747 was ever used by GM for PFI but I think that it
is possable with external drivers. Has this ever been done?

My other choice is the '730. Since this one has been used in both TBI and
PFI applications I would not need to make an external driver.

Which would be a better choice for a daily driver, especially programming
wise since I am sure that the maps would not very close to any factory ones.

Thanks in advance for any help.
