     Yah, Some Compaq notebooks have a small temp enabled fan that maintains
     X temperature range. I believe the fan is wired thru a small temp 
sense regulator
     that in turn operates the fan much like vehicle cooling fans. This 
should be able
     to be accomplished independently of the ECM , thereby not placing any 
current
     or amperage draw on ECM's resources. I would think the ECM would run a bit
     crispier @ lower maintained temperatures , agreed , at high demand 
usage, include
     in that high ambient cabin temperatures from a long heat soak. I would 
have to lean
     in the direction of drawing heat out of , in lieu of pushing air in , 
taking into account
     high moisture conditions and condensation related responses to radical 
temp swings.
     Brushless fan motors have minimal Rfi noise as well... Just some 
thoughts. ><.
