The LS1 vs. ford's DOCH 4.6 (cobra)

Ls1 is physically smaller
Ls1 weighs less
Ls1 makes much more power and torque
Ls1 is more fuel effecient
Ls1 has lower emission


but hey, it's only a 2 valve head, technology for
technologies sake is definitly the way to go!
