Well, I was on my way to the airport and something in the bottom end of the 
engine went brraap!!  I was stuck by the side of the road for 2 hours, 3 
hours to get towed away, and then I had to drive the olds to KC.  Arrgh!  I 
am pretty sure something very bad happened due to the oil on the outside of 
the engine.  I still don't have the truck back to look at it.  I was just 
moving along at 70 without a care when this happened.  

Ok - heed the advise - If you have a leaking head gasket where the wire has 
separated due to detonation, tear the whole engine down and check the 
bearings while you are at it.

I don't know what I am going to do right now - I am thinking about giving up 
on the whole hot-rodding idea and building a near-stock motor with the 
factory 2bbl TBI wheezer.  I am thinking that cruise advance did this to me.  
Comments anyone?
