Torque converter problems?

Thanks for all the ideas guys....

Got lots of things to check now.  The engine seems to be running fine, although
I'll pay a little closer attention next time - especially in the lower RPMs,
it's got some mileage on it (120k or so) & I don't know what it's maint sched
has been like.  Don't know when the last tranny fluid change occurred, I'll have
to ask.  I don't believe the tranny's ever been rebuilt, so hopefully that isn't
the problem.  From what he's told me, this problem just cropped up all the
sudden recently.

I'll do a little searching on the web for how to properly set the TV cable as
well....
