New Carchat 3.02 Coming..

I should be uploading a new version of Carchat to the site shortly. I saw
a post on doing 160 baud data logging and thought I'd let you know how
Carchat handles it.

Ver 2.2 doesn't!

The 160 baud data is a non standard data stream that is incompatible with
RS232 standards. However ....

V3.02 + an interface circuit does..

I had a lot of requests to log 160 baud data, so I've designed a circuit
using a PIC16F876 Cpu and a couple of other components to decode the 160
baud data stream into a standard Rs232 serial data stream running at
19.2K. It also supports some digital and analog IO from the chip to be
included in the output data. The code for running this chip can be
upgraded without even removing the interface. I'm also going to release
the source code (in C) for the interface, so that anyone who wants to play
with it can. It doesn't necessarily require carchat, since any program
with rs232 capabilites can utilize it. Heck, with a few more lines of
code, you could build a standalone unit.

I'll upload asap, still need to check on a few things first.
