I apologise. I should have stated that I was talking about a P4, in 
particular a 01228331 running a $B0 mask EPROM. I know nothing about C3's, 
so much as I'd love to be able to correct you, I can't.

I agree totally with RR's reply, so perhaps he'll tell you/us

Hmm,
I'd like to be corrected, but in the C3 ecms isn't everything time driven,
and just the newer ones have event and time?.
